Meeting Policies

The following policies have been approved by the MSPN Board of Directors relative to meetings.


Webinar Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a webinar after already making payment, you are encouraged to offer your place to an industry friend or colleague. However, if you require a refund, MSPN will provide one if a request is made in writing to info@mspnetwork.org at least two (2) weeks in advance of the webinar. However, an administrative processing fee of $25 will be assessed. If the request is within two (2) weeks of a webinar then that individual will be issued a credit good for one (1) year.

 

Annual Conference Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend the Annual Conference after already making payment, you are encouraged to offer your place to an industry friend or colleague. However, if you require a refund, MSPN will provide one if a request is made in writing to info@mspnetwork.org at least two (2) weeks in advance of the event. However, an administrative processing fee of $50 will be assessed. If the request is within two (2) weeks of the event, then there will be no refund provided.

Registration Fee Payment Policy

As The National MSP Network allows attendees to select “Bill Me” as part of any registration completed through the association website, the following policy has been approved to ensure payment of commitments:

1. Sponsors

1.1 Payment shall be received within 45 days of commitment (or by the date of the event if the event is within 45 days.)

1.2 Payments not made within 45 days of commitment (or by the date of the event if the event is within 45 days) shall result in the organization losing the following benefits of sponsorship until the outstanding balance is settled:

1.2.1 Removal of logo from promotional materials, event website, and social media spotlights.

1.2.2 Complimentary registrations included in sponsorship package will be forfeited and converted to the appropriate registration fee.

1.2.3 Event participation, such as advertising or exhibiting, will be forfeited.

1.3 Should the sponsoring organization be allowed, by approval of the event committee, to receive any sponsor benefit pending a payment forthcoming, and payment is not received within 45 days following the event (or the end of the calendar year, whichever is first), the organization shall lose membership status of good-standing until the outstanding balance is settled.

2. Attendees

2.1 Payment shall be received within 45 days of commitment (or by the date of the event if the event is within 45 days).

2.2 Payments not made within 45 days of commitment (or by the date of the event if the event is within 45 days) shall result in the attendee not receiving access to the event, whether virtual or live, until the outstanding balance is settled.

2.3 Should the attendee be allowed, by approval of the event committee, to attend the event pending a payment forthcoming, and payment is not received within 45 following the event (or the end of the calendar year, whichever is first):

    2.3.1 The attendee shall lose membership status of good-standing until the outstanding balance is settled.
    2.3.2 The attendee shall not receive continuing education certificate of participation until the outstanding balance is settled.

Invited Speaker Policy

The National MSP Network is proud to include experts and leaders of the industry as presenters and panelists during association meetings.

Presenter Benefits:

  1. Presenter bio and organization name are included on meeting promotional materials.
  2. Session and bio spotlight published and shareable on social media.
  3. Building presenter status as a reputable subject-matter expert.
  4. Access to network and build relationships with industry representatives.
  5. Discounted Super Early Bird registration fee through the time of the event.

Presenter Responsibilities:

  1. Event Registration – Presenters must register themselves for the event.
  2. Travel Expenses – Travel and accommodations are the responsibility of the presenter.
  3. Pre-Event Planning – Presenters are requested to participate in pre-event planning conference calls with fellow panelists, as well as event committee representatives and MSPN staff, as necessary.
  4. Presentation Development – Presenters are provided with a PowerPoint template and requested to complete the presentation no later than 10 business days prior to the event.
  5. Content Distribution Consent – Presenters agree to allow MSPN to make available recordings of presentations for continuing education purposes post-event as the association deems appropriate.

Any requests for exceptions to the above responsibilities must be made in writing and mutually agreed upon by both the presenter and the event committee.
