Civil Money Penalties Final Rule


 

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services issued an alert on October 10, 2023, that it finalized the rule specifying how and when it will calculate and impose Civil Money Penalties. Join us to learn more about this development and how it will impact your organization. This session will give a brief overview of the history of the rulemaking but focus on the key points of the final rule and what RREs can do to prepare for its implementation.

Frank Fairchok, Vice President of Medicare Reporting Services, IMPAXX

Frank Fairchok provides technical oversight of our Medicare reporting service offerings. He has more than 14 years of experience in Medicare Secondary Payer compliance, with a focus on Mandatory Insurer Reporting for the MMSEA requirements for Section 111. Frank has also served as a frequent speaker and panelist on MMSEA Section 111 compliance for a variety of conferences and organizations including RISE, The National Medicare Secondary Payer Network (formerly NAMSAP), and WorkCompCentral.

He received his Bachelor of Applied Science in Technology Management from Saint Petersburg College and has over 30 years of business experience in the workers’ compensation, telecommunications, and financial industries.

Suzanne Jordan, SCHIP Compliance Manager, Broadspire
Suzanne Jordan is the SCHIP Compliance Manager for Broadspire.  She began her career with Broadspire when MMSEA Section 111 Mandatory Insurance Reporting was in its early stages.  Jordan previously worked in various positions involved with the management of data and reporting.  She also holds the ITIL Manager Certification.
